While these type of systems still exist & they offer rock solid reliability, wireless systems have crept up in recent years.

If you are renovating your home, the wired option makes sense – the sound can typically be better in-room also with a good set of in-ceiling or in-wall speakers.

These are less obtrusive nowadays and can even be skimmed over & painted if desired.
